On September 21, 2026, under the guidance of the College Principal, Dr. Harinder Singh, a special program dedicated to the ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ was jointly organized by the Department of History and the Finishing School. The responsibility of systematically planning and coordinating this event was successfully carried out by Mrs. Ajaipal Kaur.

At the commencement of the program, Assistant Professor Sharanpreet Kaur delivered a lecture on the history and significance of the Somnath Temple. To boost the students’ knowledge and skills, Debate and Poster Making competitions were also held, and students took part in them with great enthusiasm.

Mr. Jaswinder Singh, Dr. Satnam Kaur, and Dr. Priya Lakshmi acted as the judges for these competitions. At the end of the program, Mrs. Aarti Sharma presented medals and certificates to the winners and all the participants. She praised their hard work and encouraged them to continue taking part in such educational and positive events in the future.
